Just a quick note to keep everybody updated. Take What You Can is up to #29 in the IAC Big 50 Chart. I also added a few old demos to iacmusic.com which seem to be going down quite well. Bruised and Broken has been added to the front page hitline. I have added 3 songs in total, all of which are pretty old and pretty shabby recordings but if you fancy a listen you can do so at my profile page at iacmusic.com or you can download them at the download pages of benelliot.com

INDEPENDENT SOUNDS OF YORKSHIRE AND THE HUMBER CD 2008

Earlier this year I was privialedged enough to feature on the “Independent Sounds of Yorkshire and the Humberside CD” for 2008. The CD was distributed at the annual MIDEM festival. MIDEM brings together thousands of musicians and industry types in Canne each year. It is a great opportunity for exposure as demostrated by past Independent Sounds artist Corrine Bailey Rae and The Arctic Monkeys. Take What You Can, Give What You Are is moving up the IACmusic.com’s Big 50 Chart. It is now at number 36 and has been climing over the last few weeks.

If youve read any of my blogs in the last week, you may have cottoned on the fact that iacmusic.com has been enjoying the sound of Take What You Can, Give What You Are - Version 2 since it was uploaded a week ago. The most recent success is the song being added to the IAC Big 50. The Big 50 is a group of 50 songs that are hand picked and considered to be the best on the website. It is currently at #46 but I will keep you updated if it begins to rise.
